Works for me …. spring cleaning tips. Here are some new ways to use Alka-Seltzer around your house. It’s simple, and fun (kids can help!)

  1. To clean a toilet — Drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush, and flush. The citric acid and effervescent action clean vitreous china.
  2. To remove burned on grease from a pan — Fill the pot or pan with water, drop in six Alka-Seltzer tablets, let soak for one hour, then scrub as usual.
  3. To unclog a drain — Clear the sink drain by dropping three Alka-Seltzer tablets down the drain followed by a cup of Heinz White Vinegar. Wait a few minutes, then run the hot water.

    I’m gonna get me some of them Alka Seltzer tablets! I had to clean up a pot from making meatballs yesterday (which I left and cleaned, half-asleep, at 6 this morning) and this would have come in handy. Thanks!
